April 8th is the 74th anniversary of the victory of Taierzhuang War in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province, which shocked China and foreign countries. It is also the anniversary of the reconstruction of Taierzhuang ancient city. On this day, more than a thousand people in Taierzhuang held a grand burial of the unknown hero of the Great War and the grand unveiling of the memorial sculpture of the unknown hero of Taierzhuang War to commemorate the unknown heroes who died for their country more than 7 years ago.
In September, 211, two remains, helmets, broadswords, guns and other relics were found in the reconstruction of the ancient city of Taierzhuang on the north side of the west gate. After double identification by experts in anthropology and archaeology of Shandong University, it was confirmed that the deceased were China soldiers in the Taierzhuang War, aged about 25 and 35 respectively, but their names could not be checked. The Taierzhuang District Government decided to hold a grand ceremony to bury the remains of these two unsung heroes, and set up a memorial sculpture to remember the immortal achievements of the heroes in the War of Resistance Against Japan.
On the morning of the same day, Mr. Wang Xiang, curator of Taierzhuang War Memorial Hall, Fan Weimin, Vice Chairman of China Arts and Crafts Society and President of Sculpture Magazine, Wang Guangjin, Secretary of Taierzhuang District Committee and Director of Taierzhuang Ancient City Management Committee, Mr. Huang Weijun, the hometown representative of Taierzhuang War troops and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Guangxi Film Group, and Mr. Li Xiaojin, grandnephew of General Li Zongren, commander of the Fifth Theater of the National Army, unveiled the sculpture.
Mr. Zhang Yuquan, a 93-year-old veteran of the 88th Regiment, 3th Division, 3th Army of the former National Revolutionary Army, lit the ever-burning lamp for the sculpture of the unsung hero. Sun Nihui, a representative of the relatives of the soldiers who fought in the Taierzhuang War and an adjutant of the 3th Army of the former Second Army of the National Revolutionary Army, read a eulogy. Wei Yan, a representative of the children of the soldiers who fought in the Taierzhuang War, the granddaughter of Major General Gan Fu of the 5th Theater of the National Revolutionary Army, and the head of the Cultural Exchange Department of Soong Ching Ling Foundation, More than a thousand representatives mourned for three minutes and presented flowers to the unsung hero.
The statue of the unsung hero is placed in the Peace Square in Taierzhuang, Shandong Province, facing the Beijing-Hangzhou Ancient Canal, facing the Li Zongren Historical Materials Museum in the north and the Taierzhuang War Memorial Hall in the northwest. Designed by local sculpture artist Mr. Zhu Lin.
Zhu Lin consulted a large number of historical materials with reverence, and visited Taierzhuang ancient city many times. This "land where there is no soil, no blood, no walls and no bullets" and "the unyielding land of the Chinese nation" pays tribute to the memory of the anti-Japanese war martyrs. The northwest corner of the ancient city is one of the places where the fighting is the fiercest. At that time, the Japanese army captured the northwest corner of the ancient city and tried to seize the West Gate, in an attempt to cut off the connection between the defenders of China and the city. The national army formed a death squad, armed with broadswords and grenades, and fought hand-to-hand with the Japanese army. 44 people were martyred, and the remains of unknown heroes were unearthed here. Gazing at the remains of martyrs, broken and squashed helmets and corroded broadswords, the sculptor seems to see that China soldiers fought bloody battles and fought for their lives in order to defend national dignity when their weapons and equipment were at an absolute disadvantage. I can't be moved by myself and devote myself to creation with passion. With the cooperation of the working team, the sculpture was created and produced in a very short time. The sculpture combines realism with abstraction, in order to highlight the theme of the unsung hero, showing that the artillery fire of the invaders 7 years ago could destroy the hard city walls, and could not destroy the loyalty and blood of China soldiers, and the iron and blood pride of dying. The artist deliberates and meticulously deals with the details, and selects the form of close-up of the head of a young soldier protruding between the ruins, which gives people a strong visual effect and soul shock. The soldier's helmet on the unearthed remains has been crushed and broken. After repeated comparison with historical objects and image data, the work is created, which makes the work have historical authenticity and is closer to the times of China soldiers in the 193s. Statues of young soldiers are soothing, quiet and plain in form; There is courage in the worried expression; Gazing at the top slightly contains both the desire for life and the determination to die generously.
Looking at the statue of the unknown hero, Mr. Zhang Yuquan, a 93-year-old war veteran, imitated the comrades who fought side by side, living and dying, and couldn't help crying, and every compatriot at the scene was moved. The ancient city is fortunate to bury loyal bones, and the sculpture will last forever. The creation of the sculpture of the unsung hero in Taierzhuang War, a major theme of the Anti-Japanese War, can be regarded as a masterpiece of sculpture in terms of expression and technique. Set up a historical monument for the unyielding Chinese nation.
