Guo Shuqing, Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission, said in his speech at the 10th Lujiazui Forum: "High income means high risk. If the yield exceeds 6%, it will be questioned. More than 8% is dangerous. If it exceeds 10%, be prepared to lose all the principal. "
Of course, don't take it out of context that more than 8% of the products can't be purchased. This statement is actually an upper limit. As for the more reliable upper limit estimation, we should also refer to bank loans, and of course it is not limited to bank loans, that is, to examine the income range of wealth management products from the perspective of yield. According to past experience, 8% is an ideal upper limit.
Extended data:
Matters needing attention
Generally speaking, because the risk of purchasing wealth management products is higher than that of bank deposits, the income obtained should be greater than the income directly deposited in the bank. Taking China Bank as an example, the annualized interest rate of three-year certificates of deposit is 4. 1.25%, which is not much different from other banks, so 4% can be used as the lower limit of the income of wealth management products.
However, observing the bank wealth management products currently on sale, we can find that the yield of traditional low-risk wealth management products is generally below 4%, and the yield of products with slightly higher risks or structured deposits is also around 5%, not exceeding 6%.
