Hubei Province attaches great importance to the construction of harmonious mining areas in the development of mining economy. The exploration and development of mineral resources drive the infrastructure construction of mining areas, and the growth of resource industry drives the economic development of mining areas and the construction of new countryside, forming a new resource economic model of "promoting industry by mining, leading agriculture by industry, coordinating urban and rural areas and developing harmoniously", and striving to build three types of mines that are resource-saving, safe and environmentally friendly, and harmonious between mining areas and land. The main practices and experiences of building a harmonious mining area are as follows:

First, strengthen leadership to ensure that the construction of harmonious mining areas has achieved practical results. Governments at all levels attach great importance to improving the leadership responsibility system, and decompose the responsibility of building a harmonious mining area into specific responsible persons.

Second, increase policy assistance and accelerate the improvement of people's livelihood. Government policies at all levels are inclined, projects are given priority, and people's livelihood benefits the people. In view of the relatively backward production and living conditions of farmers in Lianhua Town, the main phosphate fertilizer producing area in Yuan 'an County, a new rural development fund was established and a long-term development plan for the new countryside was formulated. Dangyang city has identified 18 mineral group disputes caused by mine construction, compensation for land requisition and demolition, water pollution, etc. For the contradictions and disputes found, clarify the responsibilities and take measures to solve them one by one.

Fourth, establish rules and regulations, and constantly lay a solid foundation for the construction of harmonious mining areas. Yuan 'an county has formulated a harmonious mining area construction plan, established a "regulation fund" system, improved the compensation mechanism, and ensured the construction of harmonious mining areas from the planning and system.

Fifth, with the help of green mine construction platform and "three-type" mine construction platform, we will strengthen mine environmental protection, improve the overall level of resource development and promote the harmony between mines and land.
