The main problems faced are as follows: 1. The largest category of products in the trade between China and ASEAN is electronic products. This is mainly the division of labor between multinational companies outside the region in the electronic industry between China and ASEAN.

The largest trade product is mainly controlled by overseas companies, and fluctuations in the world's electronic product market will directly affect the trade volume between China and ASEAN.

2. Industrial cooperation between China and ASEAN lacks planning and organization. In the fields of textiles, steel, machinery, etc., government industry authorities and industry business associations have not yet effectively connected. The industrial development plans and industrial policies of both parties lack communication and coordination.

Implement industrial structure adjustment and industrial upgrading actions in the concept of "free trade zone".

The above two categories of issues will directly or indirectly affect the sustainable and mutually beneficial development of the free trade zone.

3. Strengthening industry docking and industrial cooperation between the two sides as soon as possible is a realistic and inevitable choice for the development of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area to achieve the goal of mutual benefit and win-win.

Only in this way can new productivity and external competitiveness of the free trade zone be formed, and the economic development plans and industrial development plans of both parties can be effectively connected, so that the adjustment of the industrial structure of both parties can be carried out more effectively in the vast field of the free trade zone, and the industry in the region can be promoted.

Upgrade, reduce blind competition in the free trade zone and change the extensive industrial cooperation between the two parties.

4. ASEAN is vigorously implementing the "ASEAN Connectivity Master Plan".

All relevant parties in China should understand this plan and improve the effectiveness of cooperation with ASEAN and its member states.

The two sides should give full consideration to industrial cooperation in the construction and cooperation of infrastructure such as transportation and electricity, and promote interconnection through mutually beneficial cooperation that achieves industrial complementarity. At the same time, the development of interconnection between the two parties will also promote the expansion of industrial cooperation.

5. Strengthen mutual communication and coordination of industrial policies between the governments of China and ASEAN, and develop them into a ministerial-level cooperation mechanism.

Give full play to the role of the credit provided by China to ASEAN countries, the China-ASEAN Investment Cooperation Fund, and the China-ASEAN Bank Consortium in industrial cooperation.
