As a part of the qualification examination system for securities practitioners, the fund qualification examination has been organized and implemented by China Securities Association since 2003. In order to implement the new Fund Law, the charging items of the qualification examination for fund practitioners organized by the fund industry association were clarified. Since then, the qualification examination for fund practitioners has been officially handed over from the securities industry association to the fund industry association.
In order to adapt to the development of the industry under the new situation, the fund industry association has adjusted the examination content according to the feedback from all parties over the years and drawing on the experience at home and abroad. The adjusted examination focuses on practical application, mainly assessing the necessary basic knowledge and professional skills of fund practitioners.
The examination covers seven basic knowledge, including fund industry overview, laws and regulations and professional ethics, investment management, operation management, sales management, internal control and compliance management, and internationalization. In order to improve the professional level and quality of fund practitioners, China Securities Association will hold the qualification examination for fund practitioners from September 2008. People usually refer to funds mainly as securities investment funds.
China Fund Industry Association never publishes the examination questions and answers of fund qualification examination. Registration conditions for the national unified examination:
(1) Deadline for registration 18 years old.
(2) Having a high school education or above.
(3) Having full capacity for civil conduct.
(4) Other conditions stipulated by the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
