Professor Xu Jianjun teaches graduate students and undergraduates, and presides over the compilation and teaching organization of the English textbook of the undergraduate platform course Polymer Materials and Their Applications.

Professor Xu Jianjun's main research fields are the structure and properties of polymer materials, functional polymer materials, intelligent polymer materials, forming theory and technology of chemical fibers, and the structure, properties and applications of high-performance fibers. He presided over or participated in nearly 20 scientific research projects, including 4 natural science foundation projects, 7 key projects of provincial ministries and commissions, and 7 horizontal cooperation projects of enterprises. He has published 37 papers and monographs 1 in journals and academic conference proceedings at home and abroad, including 6 in SCI and 2 in EI. Some papers have been cited many times by international peers.
