Liu Daming was born in Xiangtan, Hunan Province in 1945. He is the director of China Calligraphy Art Research Institute, the executive director of Shenzhen Calligraphy Association, the deputy secretary general of Shenzhen Modern Calligraphy Association, the director of Shenzhen Branch of China Couplet Association, the vice president of Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Calligraphy and Painting Research Association and the vice president of Lingdong Calligraphy and Painting Institute.

Liu Daming has a versatile life. He is not only good at playing and singing, but also proficient in poetry, calligraphy and painting, especially calligraphy and painting. Since he became famous in the painting world, charity has been running through his life. He has set up a number of activities, such as the Chinese Education Foundation and the Charity Art Exhibition, to support poor children with artistic dreams.
