After returning to China, with the encouragement and support of President Zhou Ji, I drafted and put forward a proposal to the Wuhan Municipal Government to build the China' Optical Valley' in Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone. With the consent of President Zhou Ji, the proposal was formally submitted to Wuhan in the name of Huazhong University of Science and Technology on June 5438+0998+February 18.
