On the same day, the youngest son of Empress Dowager bhumibol adulyadej succeeded to the throne as the ninth emperor of Keji Dynasty (Rama IX).

Srinagarindra took an active part in many charitable activities all his life, including assisting border patrol police, visiting disabled soldiers and helping poor and crowded community residents to carry out volunteer doctor activities. Srinagarindra established the Volunteer Doctor Foundation, donated money to help build schools in remote areas, and invited others to help complete the project. She also established the "Princess Mother" fund to help other charities.
