SCP staff confidentiality levels

The Foundation operates with the utmost confidentiality.

All Foundation personnel must adhere to security clearance levels and need-to-know classifications and information.

Personnel found to be violating Foundation security protocols are to be identified, detained, and subject to disciplinary action.

Level 0 (Public Information Only) Level 0 security clearance is granted to non-core personnel who do not need to know information about anomalous items or individuals under Foundation containment.

Level 0 clearance is typically granted to personnel in clerical, logistics, or cleaning positions within the facility who do not have access to operational data.

Level 1 (Basic Trust) Level 1 security clearance is granted to personnel who work in close proximity to anomalous items or entities under containment, but do not have direct, indirect, or informational contact with them.

Level 1 security clearance is typically granted to personnel in clerical, logistics, or janitorial positions within facilities that have containment capabilities or must handle sensitive information.

Level 2 (Restricted) Level 2 security clearance is granted to security guards and researchers who require direct contact with anomalous objects and individuals in containment.

Most researchers, field agents, and containment specialists hold Level 2 security clearance.

Level 3 (Confidential) Level 3 security clearance is granted to senior security personnel and researchers who require in-depth access to information regarding the origins, recovery circumstances, and long-term plans of anomalous items and individuals in containment.

Most senior researchers, program directors, security officers, response team members, and mobile task force operators hold Level 3 security clearances.

Level 4 (Top Secret) Level 4 security clearance is granted to senior executives who require access to site-level and/or regional intelligence and long-term strategic data regarding the Foundation's operations and research programs.

Level 4 security clearance is typically held by the Site Director, Director of Security, or Mobile Task Force Commander.

Level 5 (Thaumiel) Level 5 security clearance is granted to the highest-level managers within the Foundation, with free access to all strategic and other sensitive data.

Level 5 security clearance is normally only granted to members of the O5 Council.
