Wang, secretary-general of China Red Cross Foundation, announced that the Little Angel Fund would allocate another 654.38 million yuan to help 50 poor children with leukemia.
The Little Angel Fund is the first national special public welfare fund to help leukemia children in China, which was initiated and established by the China Red Cross Foundation in June 2005. Up to now, the fund has received a total of 6.665 million yuan of donations from home and abroad, helped 160 children with leukemia from poor families, allocated a total of 4.466 million yuan of relief funds, and donated medicines and health products worth 266,000 yuan to 180 children with leukemia.
