Tencent Charity Foundation (hereinafter referred to as Tencent Foundation) was established on June 26th, 2007 with the approval of People's Republic of China (PRC) the State Council and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, registered in the Ministry of Civil Affairs and headed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Tencent Foundation, initiated by Tencent, is the first public welfare foundation initiated by an Internet company in China.
