Central fund
Since 1998, the Engineering Research Center has established the "Technology Development Research Fund of National Engineering Research Center for New Polymer Molding Equipment". The establishment of "Central Fund" aims to strengthen cooperative research and exchange, promote the construction and development of national engineering research center, promote basic research and applied research in the fields of polymer molding and machinery, cultivate outstanding scientific and technological talents, provide basic technologies such as new ideas, new concepts and new principles for solving technical difficulties in the research and development of new polymer molding equipment, and open up new research fields of interdisciplinary infiltration.
This research fund is mainly for universities, research institutes and key laboratories that have the scientific research advantages and ability to undertake basic research on polymer molding equipment and are conducive to the further development and application of research results. The research funds mainly come from the research funds provided by the National Engineering Research Center, and self-financing is also encouraged.
During the period of 1998, the engineering center hired an expert group with profound academic attainments, wide knowledge, fairness and integrity, and enthusiasm for research fund work, and carefully examined the applications for research fund projects from more than 20 applicants from all over the country. Finally, four applicants received financial support from this "Central Fund" (see the table below).
