What progress has been made in the Belt and Road Initiative?
Wang Yi's Belt and Road Initiative has made remarkable progress since it was put forward. Today, I just want to show you my report card. First, more and more partners are involved. At present, more than 70 countries and international organizations have expressed their willingness to cooperate. More than 30 countries have signed cooperation agreements with us to build the "Belt and Road". Second, financial support is basically in place. The AIIB initiated by China has been put into operation, and the first batch of investment projects of Silk Road Fund have been officially launched. Third, the interconnection network has gradually taken shape. Marked by the construction of China-Pakistan, China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridors, a number of important early achievements have been made in infrastructure, finance, humanities and other fields. China-Europe trains run through Europe and Asia, the Hungarian Railway and the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway started construction, and the construction of China-Laos, China-Thailand and other Pan-Asian railway networks has also taken important steps. Fourth, capacity cooperation has been comprehensively promoted. We have carried out institutionalized capacity cooperation with nearly 20 countries, created a new model of China-Kazakhstan cooperation, and a large number of key projects have taken root in various countries.

The Belt and Road Initiative belongs to China, but the opportunity belongs to the world. The proposal of this initiative conforms to the general call of Asia-Europe development and cooperation, and marks the rapid transformation of China from a participant in the international system to a provider of public goods. The Belt and Road Initiative adheres to the principles of * * * commerce, * * * construction and * * * enjoyment, and pursues openness rather than Monroe Doctrine. What the "Belt and Road" brings to the future world must be a new historical picture of the development and prosperity of Asia and Europe.
