Cherish those who really cheer for you.
Text/Yan Jun

The official WeChat account stopped for nine days and went out for a while. When he got home, he suddenly found more followers. It has been published for half a month for real corpus to learn Chinese. Do you think it's wrong? Then I found the answer in Liu Zhigang's circle of friends:

When the full version of Real Corpus Learning Chinese was released, I mentioned the teachers who had interacted with me in Weibo's comments, and I knew/thought that they would support this activity. This is my first time to use this function, and several people have received very positive feedback. When chatting with friends, I will emphasize my support for this matter. As long as you are colleagues, it is enough to understand and support this matter.

There are not many friends in this world who really cheer for you, so cherish it.

A while ago, at the end of the real corpus activity, a teacher Li who had never met (in America) left me a message expressing her support. Later, she wrote a short message to the "Top 500 International Chinese" on WeChat official account, and sent me the first draft with special care. It was also released on WeChat official account two days ago. The following are two paragraphs:

The senior mentioned in the screenshot and I definitely don't intersect. This matter has been supported by many strangers. Without them to share the book, many people will not be able to read it. I am well aware of this, so I am grateful.

There are not many strangers who can cheer for you. If you have a chance to know their names, please remember them. If you want to show your support, remember to let the other person know. This time through Weibo, I also had the opportunity to know and pay attention to many colleagues. From strangers to acquaintances, sometimes this is the moment.

Lijun opened the official WeChat account more than a month ago, basically once a week. When I wrote the sixth and seventh articles, I caused a sensation in the small circle around me. Medical students are special. They go to work while studying as graduate students. Brothers and sisters, their tutors and college leaders have all read her articles, praised them by name in the group and praised them privately on WeChat. Then, many interesting things happened.

Some people really praised and supported it. Some teachers and sisters forwarded it from the first article and privately expressed their support. Someone asked how much it would cost to open an official WeChat account, and everyone they met every day pretended that they never knew you were writing an official WeChat account. Some people think it's doing nothing. In those two days, Lijun was very excited and a little troubled.

If what a person does is more reliable, it is relatively easy to get the support of outstanding predecessors, because those predecessors are excellent, everyone has accumulated and precipitated, and will not regard the younger generation as a threat. But it's hard to get the support of your peers, and it's easy for them to regard you as a competitor. Everyone naturally feels a little better than their true self, so it is easy to feel jealous when they see their peers doing good things, or it is easy to belittle you in a similar way. This is really normal. What should you do at this time? Work hard silently. When you are much better than others, they won't care about jealousy.

Although we have passed the "life-and-death" era, many people still use that set of rules to deal with the world around us. In primitive society, resources were limited. If you get it, the other party will have nothing, so it is "life and death." In modern society, even in the same trade, there will be room for you if you dig deep from one point. You can find your way by growing up, and cooperation is far more important than competition. But this is really not something that everyone can understand.

Maybe I have experienced a lot of such things along the way, so it doesn't matter. When I decided to go to the Philippines, all kinds of voices around me; I decided to go to the United States. Someone asked my mother what it was like in the United States, and my mother advised me not to go. I only asked one question: Are you going to send your children to study in the United States in the future? My mother thought: Yes. Then I said nothing. After resigning and Wang came to England, a bunch of people told me to find a way to stay in America and never leave.

Just listen to what people say. No one will pay for your choice, only you.

As mentioned above, the support of the predecessors is relatively easy to obtain, but sometimes it is hard to say.

Recently, Mr. Wang is considering the termination of the contract next year, but boss A doesn't support it. How can I put it? The boss wanted to keep Wang, but he didn't get the funds for the time being. Failure to get the money means that Wang has no suitable reason to stay after the contract ends. Under such circumstances, isn't it normal for Wang to seek other opportunities? But the other party just can't understand. However, another person in charge of the project, Boss B, understood it very well, expressed his support by email and forwarded it to Mr. Wang when he met the right opportunity. So I said to him: boss B is many times more reliable than A.

Many people think this is a matter of mentality, but I really don't think so. It is purely a matter of understanding people and things.

There are not many people who have the ability to understand you and think about your future. Most of them are colleagues. Among these few people, there are even fewer people who really think about your future from your point of view, so we should cherish them.

The above is the reflection after this activity.
