Ted (short for technology, entertainment and design in English) is a private non-profit organization in the United States, which is famous for its TED conference.

The purpose of this meeting is to "spread all ideas worth spreading". TED was born in 1984 and was founded by Richard Saul Warman. From 200 1, Chris Anderson took over TED, founded the Sapling Foundation, and ran the TED conference.

Every March, the TED conference brings together many outstanding figures in the fields of science, design, literature and music in North America to share their thoughts and explorations on technology, society and people.

TED International Conference was first held in 1984, co-founded by Richard Warman * * *(Harry Marx * * * *. It has been held once a year in Monterey, California since 1990, and now other cities will hold it once a year. It invites the world's thought leaders and doers to share their favorite careers.

TED consists of three English words: technology, entertainment and design. In fact, the fields involved in this grand event are still expanding, showing various viewpoints involving almost all fields. Participants called it "super brain SPA" and "four-day tour in the future".

The audience of the conference is often CEO, scientist, creator, philanthropist and so on. They are almost as good as the speaker. Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, British zoologist Jane Goodall, American architect Frank Gehry, singer paul simon, Virgin brand founder Sir richard branson.

Philippe starck, an international design master, and Bono, the lead singer of U2, have served as speakers. The TED Global Conference is a sub-session of the TED Conference. In 2005, the first TED Global Conference was held in Britain. In 2007, the TED Global Conference was held in Tanzania.

Since 2006, the video of TED talk has been uploaded to the Internet.
