The supervisors of charitable foundations need full-time staff. According to the Regulations on the Administration of Foundations, the supervisors of foundations shall be selected by the main donors and the competent business units respectively, and the registration authority may also select them according to the needs of work. The term of office of a supervisor is the same as that of a director, and the longest term is not more than 5 years. Upon expiration of the term, a supervisor may be re-elected. In addition, directors, close relatives of directors and accountants of the foundation shall not concurrently serve as supervisors. Supervisors are also not allowed to receive remuneration from the foundation.
