It is a university established by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a key construction university in Shanxi Province, a member of the B8 Collaborative Innovation Alliance, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Education Alliance, and the United Nations.
