The interest rate for provident fund loans within 5 years (inclusive) is 2.75%, and the interest rate for loans over 5 years is 3.25%.

For second homes, the loan interest rate is related to the borrower’s qualifications, but the rate is 1.1 times the housing provident fund loan interest rate for the first home.

That is, the interest rate for a loan period of less than 5 years (inclusive) is 3.03%, and the interest rate for a loan period of more than 5 years is 3.58%.

To pay the provident fund, you need to meet the following conditions: 1. Agencies and institutions; 2. State-owned enterprises, urban collective enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises, enterprises invested by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, urban private enterprises and other urban enterprises or economic organizations; 3. Private non-enterprise units

, social groups; 4. Permanent representative offices of foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises and other economic organizations.

To sum up, the above-mentioned enterprises, institutions, social groups and representative organizations must pay housing provident funds for their employees, while urban residents without jobs cannot pay housing provident funds.

Only urban individual industrial and commercial households and freelancers can apply to contribute to the housing provident fund.

In other words, if you want to pay the housing provident fund personally, you can only apply as a freelancer or pay the provident fund on your behalf.

Legal basis: Article 36 of the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Housing Provident Funds" Employees and units have the right to inquire about the payment and withdrawal of housing provident funds of themselves and their units, and the housing provident fund management center and entrusted banks shall not refuse

If employees or units have objections to the balance of the housing provident fund account, they can apply for review by the entrusted bank; if they have objections to the review results, they can apply to the Housing Provident Fund Management Center for re-examination.

The entrusted bank and housing provident fund management center shall provide a written reply within 5 days from the date of receipt of the application.

Employees have the right to expose, report and accuse misappropriation of housing provident funds.
