From July 28th to 30th, 2022, the Mathematics and Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) held the 2022 annual fund project review meeting in Beijing. Academician Xie Xincheng, deputy director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Researcher Dong, executive deputy director of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, introduced the funding direction, project application, communication review and funding plan of general, youth and regional science funds. At the same time, the requirements of this fund project review are emphasized, and projects with high similarity are strictly handled. It is hoped that the evaluation expert group will do a good job of avoidance and confidentiality, and select projects according to the principle of "priority at different levels and overall consideration".

Yan Jinghua, head of the resident supervision working group, introduced the requirements of the evaluation and supervision work of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the "four-party commitment" system, and further emphasized the evaluation discipline of the meeting.

The meeting review expert group carefully reviewed the project applications and opinions, and selected the general projects, youth science fund projects and regional science fund projects in 2022 through voting, and put forward project proposals for funding. At the same time, the meeting discussed and determined the guidelines for general projects and key projects in 2023. The resident supervision working group supervised the evaluation process.
