Two years later, what is the development trend of global blockchain patents? In the face of the entry of traditional Internet giants, can China's enterprise patent technology remain ahead?

According to derwent's data, the top ten China companies have submitted 3,066 "patent families", accounting for nearly one third of the global total. Ant Group holds the first place with 2,298 patent families. After experiencing a surge in the number last year, Ping An Group became the second largest patent applicant in the blockchain world, Tencent ranked third, and Fumei ranked sixth in the world.
It is worth noting that among the top ten patent families in derwent, nine are China companies. There are not only technology giants such as Ant, Tencent and Baidu, but also large state-owned enterprises such as China Unicom and State Grid, as well as emerging technology companies such as Jingruice Technology and Hangfumei, which reflects the enthusiasm of China enterprises in blockchain technology research and development and patents.
IAM pointed out that, first of all, patent applications are easy to file, especially when there are incentives such as subsidies, but only a small part can be authorized in the end; Secondly, most China companies in the list scored about 65,438+0 on the average application breadth, which is an indicator of how many jurisdictions are covered by the number of patent families. The more countries apply for patents, the greater the scope of legal protection and international potential of this right.
