After passing the examination, candidates can obtain the certificate of financial planner issued by FPSB (International Financial Standards Committee), which is generally recognized by insurance, securities, funds and wealth management institutions.
It is recommended that people in the following fields take the AFP exam:
Bank staff:
Junior financial managers, account managers, lobby managers, bank employees who want to transfer from other positions to financial positions.
Insurance industry:
Insurance managers, wealth consultants, corporate executives
Brokerage field:
Account managers, senior account managers and elite account managers.
Others:
Relevant employees of independent wealth management companies and other institutions.
AFP exam registration conditions (only one of the following conditions can be met):
1. A valid Training Certificate for Financial Planners (AFP) issued by a training institution authorized by Modern International Financial Management Standards (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (including the training institution authorized by the Financial Management Standards Committee of the former China Financial Education Development Foundation) can apply for taking the AFP qualification examination.
2. Those who have a doctorate in economic management or economics recognized by Modern International Financial Standards (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and are exempted from all training courses with their approval may apply for taking the AFP qualification examination.
