Bill Ackman, a hedge fund tycoon and founder of Pershing Plaza Capital Management Company, achieved a return on investment of nearly 100 times in less than a month through credit market operation. In a letter to shareholders on Wednesday, he pointed out that the fund closed all its short positions on March 23, with a profit of $2.6 billion and a cost of only $27 million.
