The World Children's Fund was founded in 1996, and its headquarters is located in San Jose, California, USA. It is mainly devoted to the global education and welfare of children, and helps more vulnerable children in need through the international fund-raising and donation network. Dr. Lin Jinwu, the president, enjoys a high reputation in international charity. He shuttled between continents, learned about the needs of children in local countries, won the support of national leaders for the cause of children, and established extensive cooperation with local charities in various countries. At present, the countries where UNICEF conducts activities cover five continents.

The World Children's Fund is very concerned about and supports the development of children's welfare in China. 1998 began to donate materials and funds to China Children and Teenagers Foundation, China Women's Development Foundation, China Disabled Persons Welfare Foundation, China Red Cross Society, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, Tibet Development Assistance Foundation, Beijing Children's Welfare Institute and other charitable organizations. In September 2003, based on its experience in participating in international projects, the World Children's Fund donated the "Happy Home" project to Beijing Children's Welfare Institute, which aims to improve the life skills of orphans and disabled children and has become a model demonstration project of the welfare institution. The project consists of children's multimedia classrooms (to improve children's interest in science and technology, learn foreign languages and create paintings), mini hospitals, mini supermarkets and mini families, so that orphans living in welfare homes can simulate contact with life, increase their happiness and make them develop healthily psychologically and emotionally.

Dr. Lin Jinwu, President of the World Children's Fund, recently visited the Beijing Children's Welfare Institute and donated RMB 152875 on behalf of the World Children's Fund. Beijing Children's Welfare Institute issued a donation certificate to the World Children's Fund.
