Introduction to Pathology and Pathophysiology

The National Key Discipline of Pathology and Pathophysiology consists of Cancer Institute, Department of Pathophysiology, Department of Pathology, Key Laboratory of Carcinogenesis Principle of Ministry of Education and Key Laboratory of Tumor protein Histology of Ministry of Health. The main academic leaders are professors Yao Kaitai, Li Guiyuan, Cao Ya, Chen Zhuchu, Wen Jifang and Xiao Xianzhong. Over the years, it has formed a number of stable and distinctive research directions, such as molecular mechanism of the etiology and pathogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, cloning and function research of nasopharyngeal carcinoma susceptible genes, genetic engineering antibodies and tumor immunotherapy, septic shock and cardiovascular pathophysiology, digestive tumor pathology, lung molecular pathology and so on. It was approved as a national key discipline in 199, and was approved as a national key discipline again in 21 and 26. During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, it won 25 national key projects, including 863 and 973 key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 68 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and 32 provincial-level projects with a total fund of 43.674 million yuan, won 6 provincial-level scientific and technological achievement awards, and published 148 scientific papers in international SCI academic journals.
