The website of the National Development and Reform Commission announced yesterday that the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Health and Family Planning Commission decided to cooperate with the PLA General Hospital, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Yunnan Province and China-Japan Friendship Hospital to carry out the pilot work of telemedicine policy. The notice requires that all pilot provinces and regions should study and formulate relevant policies, mechanisms, regulations and standards applicable to telemedicine development from the aspects of operational norms, responsibility identification, incentive mechanism, service charges and expense reimbursement, and explore market-oriented telemedicine service models and operational mechanisms.
