Teachers in charge of the project team:

Hello!

I am Zhang Junhong from Lujia Primary School, Dazhai Township, Huaxian County, Henan Province. I have been working in the teaching field for 25 years. Although in the eyes of others, I am already an old teacher, but I have always been As a person who works with primary school students, I will always keep a young heart, a positive heart, a heart that loves learning and reading! On New Year's Day of 2021, I saw that Responsible Action launched a recruitment activity for the children's reading intermediate teacher training project. I couldn't wait to fill out the application and join the ranks of intermediate course learning. I want to embark on this first reading learning journey with everyone. !

It has only been more than 3 years since I first came into contact with children’s reading courses. Because I am a rural primary school teacher and stay in a remote village for a long time. I rarely have the opportunity to go out to study and receive training. Most of the children in the school are left-behind children. Their parents work outside all year round and rarely provide for their children. I buy children's books and picture books, so I have never been exposed to children's reading learning before. It was the wonderful encounters one after another that later made me not only exposed to more children's books, but also read entire books, recited children's poems, and read picture books with the children!

1. Read the whole book.

My encounter with children’s reading can be traced back to one day in April 2018. I accidentally broke into the national children’s reading “Reading in Every Class” *** reading activity, so I led the class The children followed the class reading activities in the 8th, 9th and 10th periods. The students came into contact with children's books for the first time and read with great enthusiasm. They read "Fire-Eating Beast" by Xiao Miao, a children's literature writer, and "The Patron Saint of the Night", Zhang Zhilu's "Golden Raindrops", "Flying Over the Himalayas", etc. In each issue, we won the title of "Class with Reading" and I also won the title of "Class with Reading Teachers" nationwide. title.

In November 2018, I led the fourth-grade children in the class to jump from the first-class reading activity where every class has read to the first-class reading activity for hundreds of classes and thousands of students, following the 17th The first reading activity of this issue is to read children’s books together. In the past three years, we have never failed in our first reading activities from the 17th to the 30th period. Every time we have the first reading, the students have gained a lot. We have introductory reading classes, promotion classes, and communication classes. , write reading lists, draw mind maps, and engage in creative writing. Under my guidance, the children swim in the ocean of children's books and spend a happy childhood reading the entire book!

A hard work, a reward. In hundreds of reading activities, we won the special prize once, the first prize twice, the second prize many times, and the second prize of the individual student award. , good results of many third prizes!

2. Recite something every day.

In September 2018, I met the Mother Tongue Charity Foundation and was fortunate enough to join the Star Lighting Project and became the seed teacher for the fourth phase of the Star Lighting Project. From then on, I embarked on a three-year journey to create the children's poem "Every Day" The path of recitation.

I read for 20 minutes at noon every day. I lead the children to recite children's songs, children's poems, nursery rhymes, and ancient poems from the daily reading books. They read them together, read them by role, read them by boys and girls, and read them by teachers and students. Reading rhythmically, etc., while reciting repeatedly, is immersed in the influence of the mother tongue.

3. Reading picture books.

? I only started reading picture books when I met Responsible Action in June this year and joined the primary certification study for children’s reading instructors. Although I also came into contact with some of them while studying as a Star Lighting Seed teacher. Children read picture books. However, I teach second-grade Chinese classes, so I focus on reading the whole book. In September this year, I took over the first-grade class, and while reciting children's poems, I also insisted on reading picture books. Every week, I use the time in the third reading class on Wednesday afternoon and the remaining ten minutes in the Chinese class to share many exquisite picture books with the children: "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "Reunion", "Little Black" "Fish", "The Hedgehog and the Gold Coin", "Afraid of Wasted Mother-in-Law", "Running Town", "The Cat Who Lived Ten Thousand Times", etc. Children really like reading picture books, and not only have they developed a good habit of reading, but also I also learned a lot of truths from picture books that I couldn’t learn from books.
