Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, the author of Little Doudou by the Window, often thinks of the influence of Ba Xueyuan and President Kobayashi on her when she is an adult. One night she always thought about it and then ran out of bed in the middle of the night. It suddenly occurred to her that she wanted to write a book about Ba Xueyuan and President Kobayashi, so she wrote a few pages full of 300 squares that night and wrote the first chapter of Little Doudou by the Window, First Arriving at the Station.
