The academic exchange meeting of "Population, Environment and Employment" between Chinese and Japanese scholars was held jointly by School of Media Science, Institute of Japan and Social Science Department of Northeast Normal University. Professor Kazuo Hei, Department of Economics, Hosei University, sophia university Graduate School, Associate Professor Yukio Okazaki, Director of Sasakawa Japan-China Friendship Fund, Dr. Peking University, and Dr. Guan Shanjian, Ph.D. in International Cooperation, University of Tokyo, were invited to our school, and had in-depth exchanges with teachers and students of Northeast Normal University on Sino-Japanese environment, economic development and employment of college students.
The School of Media Science of Northeast Normal University now has four or five undergraduate majors, including radio and television director, broadcasting and hosting, radio and television journalism, advertising and digital media technology, and three master's programs, including drama and film, journalism and art theory.
at the meeting, three scholars gave keynote speeches on the topics of "the present situation and countermeasures of Japan's declining birthrate", "Japan's environmental countermeasures: cooperation between government, enterprises and non-governmental organizations" and "the employment situation of Japanese young people". The report compares the economic situation, environmental problems and employment situation between China and Japan, and shares Japan's successful experience in these areas. In the interactive exchange session, participants also exchanged views with three scholars on the employment and entrepreneurship of college students in China, air pollution and other issues.
