The professional titles stipulated in China are usually divided into five grades: senior, deputy senior, intermediate, assistant and technician.

The promotion of deputy senior titles to full senior titles requires strict requirements, and papers must be published. Moreover, the paper must be obtained before the professional title evaluation and needs to be inquired by the General Administration of Press and Publication. Papers published within 3-5 years of associate senior titles can be used to evaluate positive and senior titles.
