Guangdong Province

There are two main changes:

1. The right to enjoy benefits is no longer limited by the one-year insurance coverage: employees and their unemployed spouses can enjoy the corresponding maternity insurance benefits from the month after the employer pays them in full and on time.

2. Extend the time for receiving maternity allowance: Before the new regulations are promulgated, Guangdong Province must apply for and reimburse maternity allowance and maternity expenses within 1 year after giving birth. However, after the new regulations, spring grain and maternity expenses can be reimbursed when applying for maternity allowance from the second day to three years.

Fujian Province

All insured persons in Fuzhou, Zhangzhou and Sanming who have not paid maternity insurance for 12 months before delivery (even if they have only been insured for 1 month) can enjoy half of the maternity allowance.

Insured persons in Ningde and Quanzhou areas can enjoy 50% maternity treatment of normal employees only if the continuous payment of maternity insurance for new insured persons is less than 12 months.

The newly insured persons in Putian, Longyan, Nanping and Pingtan have not paid maternity insurance for 12 months in a row, and can only enjoy 50% of maternity medical reimbursement, but do not enjoy maternity allowance.

Liling brothers, Fuzhou and Putian, who have had their maternity insurance interrupted for more than 3 months before delivery 12 months (including the current month), can also enjoy half of the maternity benefits if they still have a newborn baby.
