Male, born in June, 1962, from Hefei, Anhui. 1994 graduated from Huazhong university of science and technology (Huazhong university of science and technology) school of materials in June with a doctorate, and studied under academician Cui Kun. During his PhD, he won two "Guanghua" scholarships from Hong Kong Guanghua Foundation and one "Mr. Shao Yizhou Foundation" scholarship from Taiwan Province Province. His doctoral thesis won the first prize of excellent doctoral thesis of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and was awarded as an excellent graduate doctoral student. In 2005, he won the 6th Anhui Youth Science and Technology Award.
