If you are making inquiries on behalf of someone else, you need to bring the provident fund co-branded card and ID card of the person being inquired.

2. For online inquiries, the enquirer can log in to the official website of the local provident fund management center and click on the provident fund query button for personal housing.

Take Beijing as an example: click the individual housing provident fund query button on the right side of the provident fund center homepage.

Then, on the prompt page, enter the provident fund co-branded card number or ID number, password, and verification code, and click the query button to check the deposit and balance status.

3. For telephone inquiries, you can call the national housing provident fund hotline 12021, follow the voice prompts to enter the provident fund type, business type, inquiry type, enter the provident fund joint card number or ID card, and password to query (the initial password is the last four digits of the ID card plus 00).

It should be noted that this inquiry method is only available to those with provident fund co-branded cards or provident fund inquiry cards.

Those who do not have a provident fund co-branded card can go to a cooperative bank branch. For specific cooperative banks, you need to consult the local provident fund center.

Currently, the Beijing Housing Provident Fund Management Center cooperates with eight banks including Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, Bank of Beijing, Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, and China CITIC Bank to issue co-branded cards.

All branches of eight banks in Beijing can accept co-branded card business.

The law is objective: Article 36 of the "Regulations on the Administration of Housing Provident Fund" states that employees and units have the right to inquire about the payment and withdrawal of housing provident funds of themselves and their units, and the housing provident fund management center and entrusted banks shall not refuse.

If employees or units have objections to the balance of the housing provident fund account, they can apply for review by the entrusted bank; if they have objections to the review results, they can apply to the Housing Provident Fund Management Center for re-examination.

The entrusted bank and housing provident fund management center shall provide a written reply within 5 days from the date of receipt of the application.

Employees have the right to expose, report and accuse misappropriation of housing provident funds.
