Introduction to Tang Jianxin

Tang Jianxin, male, born in December 1965, Han nationality, native of Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, member of the Communist Party of China, Ph.D. in Economics. From 1981 to 1985, he studied in the Department of Economics of Wuhan University and obtained a bachelor's degree. From 1985 to 1988, he studied in the Department of Accounting and Auditing of the School of Economics of Wuhan University, obtained a master's degree and stayed at the school to teach. From 1992 to 1995, he was sent by the school to Hainan, Wuxi and other places to engage in auditing, asset evaluation and investment project evaluation. Obtained the qualification of registered auditor in 1992 and the qualification of registered asset appraiser in 1996. In 1992, he was promoted to lecturer. In 1995, he was admitted to Wuhan University for a doctoral degree in world economics. In 1998, he received a doctorate in economics. In 1999, he was promoted to associate professor. From 2000 to 2002, he engaged in postdoctoral research at the Business Administration (Accounting) Postdoctoral Station of Renmin University of China, and was promoted to professor in 2004. In 2005, he served as the director of the Accounting Department of the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University and the deputy director of the MPAcc Education Center. In 2006, he was appointed as a doctoral supervisor. From August 2006 to January 2007, he went to the University of Toronto in Canada as a visiting scholar. He concurrently serves as an independent director of listed companies such as Hubei Chutian Expressway, Wuhan Guangxun Technology, Wuhan China Business, and Wuhan Holdings. Professor Tang Jianxin’s main research directions are corporate finance, management accounting theory, and accounting and auditing issues in China’s capital market. He has authored, edited, and co-edited more than 10 books and textbooks, and published more than 50 papers. He has presided over 6 completed or ongoing national, provincial and ministerial level vertical projects, such as National Social Science Fund Project, National Natural Science Foundation Project, National Audit Office Bidding Project, Hubei Province Science and Technology Research Project, etc., and more than 10 horizontal projects.
