Its purpose is to make people aware of the possible serious consequences of destroying natural ecosystems in terms of climate change, soil erosion, and causing droughts and floods; at the same time, it calls on people to pay attention to the fact that 1,000 species of animals and 25,000 plants in the world are on the verge of extinction.
If protected, the damage will be irreparable.
In May 1980, the World Wildlife Fund held talks with China on giant panda cooperation, and signed the "Protocol on the Establishment of a Research Center for the Protection of Giant Pandas" in the Netherlands on June 30.
