1. Aquatic animal diseases mainly study the pathology, diagnosis and prevention techniques of various diseases of aquaculture animals, especially the pathology and prevention techniques of protozoa and viruses.

2. Aquaculture ecology mainly studies the relationship between aquaculture animals and plants and the environment, the structure and function of aquaculture system, the theory and technology of water quality management, and the system ecology theory of sustainable mariculture.

3. Aquaculture Animal Nutrition and Feed Science mainly studies the digestion and absorption physiology of aquaculture animals, the needs of nutrients, the formulation technology and processing technology of feed and additives to improve efficiency and reduce pollution.

4. Reproductive biology and culture technology of aquatic animals mainly study gonad development, fertilization biology, developmental biology and artificial propagation technology of fish, shrimp and shellfish, and fry cultivation and cultivation technology.

5. Aquaculture genetics and breeding mainly studies the genetic diversity of aquatic resources and the new technology breeding of aquaculture objects, especially polyploid breeding technology.
