Junk fund: a kind of income-oriented mutual fund. The bonds issued by companies with low credit rating are mostly bonds issued by companies below BB level. This kind of fund first considers interest income, and enjoys higher income while taking risks. Because of the low quality of the bonds invested, it is also called low quality bond fund.
