What is a financial license?
A financial license, that is, the business license of a financial institution, is an official document authorizing a financial institution to conduct business. At present, financial licenses are issued by CBRC, CSRC and CIRC respectively. Financial supervision is divided into pre-supervision, in-process supervision and post-supervision. Market access system is the core of prior supervision, and financial license plate is the normal performance of market access system.

Objective: Any institution engaged in financial business must first obtain the corresponding financial institution license.

2. Types of financial licenses

There are 12 kinds of financial licenses that need to be approved in China, including banks, insurance, trusts, brokers, financial leasing, futures, funds, fund subsidiaries, fund sales, third-party payment licenses, micro-loans and pawns.

China financial license and application conditions

The minimum registered capital for the establishment of a national commercial bank is 10 billion yuan. The minimum registered capital for establishing city commercial banks is 1 100 million yuan, and the minimum registered capital for establishing rural commercial banks is 50 million yuan.

The minimum registered capital of a trust company is 300 million yuan or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, and the registered capital is paid-in monetary capital. Applications for operating enterprise annuity funds, securities underwriting, asset securitization and other businesses shall meet the minimum registered capital requirements stipulated by relevant laws and regulations.
