Park scenery of Nanyue Garden

The majestic gathering show - the gate archway, this is the first scenery of Nanyue Garden.

The archway is 18 meters high, majestic, gorgeous and resplendent. It has both the Lingnan architectural style and the graceful and luxurious characteristics of the royal garden.

The vermilion lacquer pillars, gilded Chaozhou wood carvings, three stacks of brackets, and five stacks of ceramics integrate the arts of wood carving, ceramic sculpture, gray sculpture, brick carving, and stone carving. It is a model of the integration of Lingnan architecture and royal architecture.

In the middle of the archway, there is a plaque with three shining gilded characters "Nanyue Garden" written by Ye Xuanping, former vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

On the ridges of the three stacks of dougong tiles, five double-sided pottery paintings are inlaid, including "Birthday Stars Chasing Deer", "Tianji Qunfang", and "Qilin and Auspicious Lion". The characters in the pictures are vivid and lifelike.

Under the three-fold lotus dougong, there are four antique paintings of landscapes, flowers and birds.

Under the eaves on both sides, there are two pottery imitation brick carvings of "Confucius Lectures" and "Talking with Confucians".

The couplet on the front of the archway reads: "Purple water surrounds the green radish, and the cloudy mountains ten miles away leave beautiful shadows; Jin'ao faces Liyuan, and the wind and moon on the river embrace the pearl."

Couplet on the back: "Guangdong Garden gathers spiritual energy, and the ancient charm is passed down from generation to generation; Dachuan becomes a sea of ??art, and the garden is full of elegance and civilization." The two couplets, from the outside to the inside, not only point out that Nan Yue Garden was built in Zini, a treasure of outstanding people.

On the ground, it is also pointed out that Nanyue Garden is a place where treasures are collected and elegant and civilized.

Entering the gate of Nanyue Garden, you are faced with a large screen wall - Nine Dragon Wall, which is a beautiful scenery of "dragon flying and phoenix flying".

There is a carved bluestone base under the Kowloon wall, with a "jade-coated gold" glazed tile roof, surrounded by a white jade stone railing.

The Nine Dragon Wall has a royal style, showing that the dragon culture of the Chinese nation has a long history.

In order to highlight the image of the dragon, the maker used relief technology to shape and bake it, giving it a three-dimensional effect.

Against the background of sea water and auspicious clouds, nine giant dragons in yellow, red, purple, white and blue are playing with dragon beads. They are vivid in form and tumbling freely, as if they are swimming in the sea or soaring in the sky.

Especially under the sunlight, it shines brightly, is colorful and gorgeous.

On the back of the Nine Dragon Wall is a ceramic mural of two phoenixes facing the sun.

A pair of colorful phoenixes spread their wings and fly towards the sun, accompanied by pine and crane, and flocks of birds following each other.

The two walls reflect the flying dragon and the phoenix, which means auspiciousness.

There are couplets engraved on both sides of the Nine Dragon Wall: "The picture of a dragon carrying a brocade, reflecting the sun with golden scales and auspicious mist; when the phoenix sings in prosperity, hundreds of birds come to sing in harmony." It points out that the Nine Dragon Wall symbolizes a good omen of peace and prosperity and social harmony.

A unique feature of Nanyue Garden is the winding and colorful "Hundred-turn Corridor" that runs through the entire garden.

This corridor not only has the characteristics of Lingnan gardens, but also shows the style of royal gardens.

It has red lacquered pillars, a "jade-covered gold" glazed tile roof, colorful paintings and decorations, some of which are supported by lotus dougongs, and there are "beauty leaning" benches on both sides.

Most of the paintings in the gallery are character paintings based on the story of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", as well as landscapes, flowers, birds, insects and fish.

The painting is exquisite, the lines are smooth, and it is of great ornamental value.

There are also gray sculpture paintings and poems, calligraphy and paintings by Panyu natives Qu Dajun, Zhang Weiping, Zhang Cai'an and other famous artists in the gallery.

The cloister of Nanyue Garden fully reflects its people-oriented approach and care for tourists.

The "Hundred-turn Corridor" not only runs through the entire garden, but also extends outside the garden.

There are also long corridors of painted dougongs on both sides of the large square in front of the archway at the gate.

People can walk in the cloister and enjoy the scenery without being exposed to the sun or rain, whether it is the scorching sun in summer or the cold rain in winter.

When you are tired, you can take a rest on the comfortable "Beauty Lean".

In addition, there are aerial corridors for tourists to enjoy the scenery from a high place.

The cloister of Nanyue Garden is not only a beautiful landscape, but also plays a role in organically connecting various scenic spots in the garden.

"Eight Osmanthus leaves fragrance", "Comfort and comfort", "Four Knowledge Styles", "A treasure portends good times to come", "Learning from the past and knowing the present", "Zongjie collects treasures", "The clouds are bright", "Ancient porcelain is full of color"

"The pavilions, pavilions, pavilions and other scenic spots are all connected by a corridor of more than 1,000 meters.

"Four Knowledge Style" is Sizhi Pavilion.

The pavilion is a four-cornered pavilion in the north-south style, with colorful paintings, raised corners and glazed tiles, making it dazzling.

This pavilion contains the story of commemorating upright officials.

The location of Nanyue Garden was originally the place where people surnamed Yang lived in Zini Village. There was a building here dedicated to Yang Zhen, the ancestor of Yang surname.

Yang Zhen was an upright official in the Eastern Han Dynasty. After his student Wang Mi became an official, he gave him ten pounds of gold at night, but Yang Zhen refused to accept it.

The student said: "It was sent at dusk, and no one knew about it." Yang said: "Heaven knows, God knows, you know, I know, what is ignorance!" Yang Zhenhou died after being slandered and was demoted, and later generations established the Four Knowledges

The temple commemorates him.

The newly built Sizhi Pavilion has a couplet: "If you cultivate your virtues and cultivate your moral integrity, you have sages, and you have to look up to famous sages to teach people." It expresses people's respect for honest officials.

Bagui Liuxiang-Yingkexuan is an octagonal pavilion.

The top of the pavilion has a two-story appearance, with golden gourds, green glazed tiles, tile eaves and dragon kisses gilded, and the two-story tile roof is supported by lotus brackets.

The entire building is supported by eight granite pillars, with white stone feet and blue brick walls, with colorful Manchurian windows on them.

The interior of the pavilion is decorated with high-grade mahogany carvings, which are full of gold and splendor.

The Yingke Pavilion is built near the lake, half of it is built on the shore and half of it extends to the water.

The part across the water is supported by stone pillars and is suspended in the water.

The lake water is rippling, the lake willows are graceful, and the koi carps are swimming in the lake, with their golden scales shining and colorful.

Pushing the window and looking into the distance, many beautiful places in the garden unfold before your eyes.

The Milk Flower Cave is composed of stalactites of different shapes, just like a natural cave. There is a pillar in it that holds up the sky and supports the roof of the cave directly from the ground.

There is a waterfall of more than 30 meters cascading down from the top of the cave. The trickling water inside the cave forms a curtain of water, which is like Penglai in a fairyland.
