In 2003, the Chinese Nutrition Society and Giant Investment Company jointly established the "Chinese Nutrition Society Nutrition Research Fund" to support scientific research in the field of nutrition with a total funding of 10 million yuan for the first five years.

This fund funds and encourages research in the following areas: research on the relationship between vitamins and human health; research on the relationship between minerals, especially trace elements, and human health; research on the relationship between phytochemicals and human health.

The research topic should have a certain degree of innovation, the argument should have reliable scientific basis, the research content should be closely integrated with the nutrition and health problems of Chinese residents, and the research results should have scientific theoretical significance or practical value.

Through this public welfare scientific research funding activity, we hope to promote the development of nutritional science in our country.

In 2004, the Chinese Nutrition Society established the "Chinese Nutrition Society Science and Technology Award" to reward groups and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of nutrition.

Commissioned by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Nutrition Society's nutritionist training and certification work has been carried out simultaneously in 27 provinces and cities across the country.

Accepted the entrustment from the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council and the Ministry of Health to undertake the drafting of the National Nutrition Regulations.

The China Association for Science and Technology also approved the Chinese Nutrition Society to launch a pilot program for the certification of nutritionist technical qualifications.
