There are six research projects in the laboratory, including the National "863" and the Natural Science Foundation, with sufficient funds. At present, there are mainly the following research directions for candidates to choose from:

1. Basic Research on Transgenic Breeding of Cold-resistant, Drought-resistant and Fungal-resistant Plants (KWS international cooperation project, postgraduate allowance is paid according to German standards, 1800-2000 yuan per month)

2. Study on molecular basis of molecular genetics and breeding of white goat in Yangtze River Delta (National 863 and Shanghai Major Key Project)

3. Molecular Basic Research on Efficient Utilization of Plant Nitrogen (Shanghai Key Laboratory of Energy Crops Open Project)

4. Epigenetic research in the process of human spermatogenesis (Shanghai Natural Science Foundation project, doing experiments outside the school)

5. Basic research on improving plant seed biomass by transgenic breeding (self-designed topic for graduate students)

6. Graduate students can draw up their own topics.
