At present, he is the dean of the School of Information Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology and the doctoral supervisor of control theory and control engineering. He was selected as the first-class training candidate and key training candidate of Zhejiang New Century "15 1" talent project, the national candidate of "New Century Million Talents Project" and the young and middle-aged academic leader of Zhejiang universities. In 2000, he won the second "Young College Teachers Award" from the Ministry of Education and the first "Young College Teachers Award" from the Ministry of Education in 2002. In 2005, he won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is currently a member of the Control Theory Committee of China Automation Society and the Process Control Committee of China Automation Society.

In-depth research has been carried out in the fields of advanced control strategy, computer control, network control system analysis and design, and a series of research results have been obtained. In the past five years, he has undertaken more than 20 scientific research projects such as 3 National Natural Science Foundations, 2 National 863 Projects, Ministry of Education Funds, Ministry of Personnel Funds and Zhejiang Provincial Funds, and published 2 academic books and key textbooks 1 department. In Automation, Journal of Franklin Institute, more than 200 academic papers have been published in influential academic journals and conferences such as Int. J. System Science and acta automatica sinica, in which 1 10 articles were included by SCI and EI. His works have been cited by peers 1300 times, including 135 times by SCI, and the research results have achieved good social and economic benefits. "Research on control theory of time-delay system" won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Education, and "Research on guaranteed cost control and optimization of uncertain systems" won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of Zhejiang Province.
