According to Article 1 of the Notice of China Securities Regulatory Commission on Several Issues Concerning Standardizing Securities Investment Consulting Services for the Public, institutions or individuals that provide analysis, prediction or suggestions to the public orally, in writing, through computer networks or in other forms recognized by China Securities Regulatory Commission (hereinafter referred to as China Securities Regulatory Commission) must first obtain the qualification certificate of securities investment consulting services or the practicing certificate of securities investment consulting services issued by China Securities Regulatory Commission. Article 7 of the Interim Provisions on Securities Investment Consulting Services stipulates that persons who provide securities investment consulting services to clients shall have the qualification of securities investment consulting and be registered as securities investment consultants in China Securities Industry Association. A securities investment consultant may not be registered as a securities analyst at the same time.
