By referring to the developed Phonics abroad, combining with the actual situation of China and Hong Kong students and the teaching characteristics of English teachers, Professor Rosaline Lee Fung led his team to research and develop a set of courses that are suitable for China students' English learning habits and teachers' education methods.

The final report of p>TW-ETSN project shows that 75% of the students have improved their ability to learn new words by 5% by learning Phonics, and 6% of the students have improved their ability to learn new words to 7%, which is all produced after they have mastered the knowledge and skills of Phonics. As the TW-ETSN program has been practiced and recognized in 31 primary schools in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, and its educational reform has achieved remarkable results, Taiwan Province and mainland areas such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Zhongshan and other places have begun to popularize it.
