The National Scholarship Fund Committee (hereinafter referred to as the National Natural Science Fund Committee) is a non-profit enterprise legal person directly under the Ministry of Education. The purpose of the Fund Committee is to organize, fund and manage China citizens studying abroad and foreign citizens studying in China in accordance with national laws, regulations and relevant policies, so as to promote the development of education, scientific and technological, cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between China and other countries, strengthen the friendship and understanding between China and the people of other countries, and promote China's socialist modernization and world peace.

The national study abroad fund mainly comes from the special financial funds of the national study abroad fund plan. At the same time, the Fund Committee also accepts donations and grants from friendly people, enterprises, social groups and other organizations at home and abroad.
