The World Harmony Clock was a gift from China to the United Nations in 2005 to celebrate its 60th anniversary. This metal clock with a net weight of 600kg was cast in Nanjing, China, and arrived at the United Nations Headquarters in new york in June 2005. This "World Harmony Clock" is bronze, with a double dragon on it, with its mouth open, its head held high and its expression vivid. The clock face is engraved with the patterns of dove of peace, peace tree and auspicious clouds, and the word "He" is engraved below in both Chinese and English. The lower mouth of the bell is engraved with waves, and the two impact points are designed as earth patterns, which symbolizes that most peace-loving people live together in the "global village".
