What is fund unit value

The value of a fund unit is the "net value of a fund unit", which is the net asset value of each fund unit. It is also the balance of the fund's total assets minus its total liabilities divided by the total number of units issued by the fund.

The formula for calculating the value of a fund unit is: Fund unit value = (total assets - total liabilities) ÷ total number of fund units; where total assets are all assets owned by the fund, including stocks, bonds, bank deposits and other securities.

Total liabilities are liabilities formed during fund operation and financing, including various fees payable to others, interest payable on funds, etc.

The total number of fund units is the total number of fund units outstanding.

The transaction price of fund units of open-end funds depends on the net value of fund units that is not yet known at the time of subscription and redemption (but can be calculated after the market closes on that day and announced on the next trading day).
