There are 25 teachers in the School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Song Haiyan, a professor, studied in the UK and obtained a doctorate from the University of Scotland in Glasgow (1992). He is currently the vice president and chief professor of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the coordinator of the tourism project of the School of Service Management of the University of SURREY in the UK. Research interests: tourism economics, tourism demand and forecast, evaluation of tourism impact effect, research methods of tourism quantity, and China's transitional economy.

Liu Zhenwan, professor, is currently the director of Dalian Tourism Bureau. The main research direction is tourism marketing.
