China University of Mining and Technology, located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, a national "211 Project", "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform" and a national "double first-class" construction university.
It is also a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, the People's Republic of China and the State Administration of Work Safety.
Selected into the “111 Plan” and “Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program”.
As of May 2020, the school has two campuses, Wenchang Campus and Nanhu Campus, with more than 3,100 faculty and staff of various types.
The school has 22 colleges and two independent colleges, including Xuhai College and Yinchuan College.
There are 63 undergraduate majors, 33 first-level discipline master’s degree programs, 18 professional degree granting programs, 17 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 16 postdoctoral research stations, and 1 first-level discipline national key discipline.
