Social security affiliation refers to the region or the nature of the insurance category to which the insured person's social security relationship belongs when the insured place is different from the registered place of residence.

Non-residents cannot purchase social security directly from the Social Security Bureau. They can only purchase local employee social security through companies purchasing it for their employees.

If you don’t have a local household registration, the Social Security Bureau will not approve it and will not let you buy it.

Steps for applying for social security by the unit affiliated to the individual: Archiving conditions: ① Mobile employees whose files are kept in the original work unit (including employment agencies or talent exchange agencies) that has the right to keep files.

② Age of archiving personnel: men under 50 years old, women under 45 years old.

Extended information: Article 1 of the "Interim Measures for the Registration and Management of Social Insurance" In order to strengthen and standardize the registration and management of social insurance, these Measures are formulated in accordance with the provisions of the "Interim Regulations on the Collection and Payment of Social Insurance Premiums" (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations).

Article 2 All units that are required to pay social insurance premiums in accordance with the provisions of Articles 2, 3, and 29 of the Regulations shall handle social insurance registration and obtain a social insurance registration certificate in accordance with the provisions of these Measures.

Article 3 The social insurance agency of the labor and social security administrative department at or above the county level (hereinafter referred to as the social insurance agency) is responsible for social insurance registration.

Article 4 Social insurance agencies shall cooperate with relevant departments to strengthen the management of social insurance registration.

Article 5 A fee-paying unit engaged in production and business operations shall apply to the local social insurance agency for social insurance registration within 30 days from the date of obtaining a business license, and within 30 days from the date of establishment of a non-production and business unit.

Paying units that have not participated in social insurance before the implementation of the Regulations shall, in accordance with Article 8 of the Regulations, go to the local social insurance agency to register for social insurance with the certificates and information specified in Article 7 of these Measures.
